About
Who it is for
Anyone who wants to build something and show it: students, engineers, designers, product people, and anybody working on a problem worth a weekend of attention. No prior hackathon experience is expected.
You do not need to arrive with a team. The platform is built around the assumption that most people will not have one: fill in a short survey, say what you are interested in and what you can do, and it will suggest people whose interests overlap with yours and whose skills fill your gaps. You can also search for a specific person by name, if you already know who you want to work with.

How it works
Teams
A team is between one and five people. Entering alone is allowed and is not a disadvantage in judging. One person on each team is the captain: they admit new members and submit the project.
Submitting
Each team submits one project. You can save a draft and change it as often as you like until you press Submit as final. That step cannot be undone: the project goes to the judges at that moment and can no longer be edited. Anything still in draft at the deadline is not judged.
Once a project is submitted, the team roster is fixed. Judges score the members recorded at that moment, so nobody can join or leave afterwards.
Judging
Every project is scored out of 100. Judges do not see each other's scores before entering their own, and the final score is the mean of all submitted scores.

What you may bring
Decide and state this explicitly: whether existing code, open source libraries and pre-trained models are allowed, and whether work started before the event counts. Teams will ask, and an answer given privately to one team is unfair to the rest.

Questions
I do not have a team. Can I still enter?
Yes, and most people will be in the same position. After registering you fill in a short survey, and the platform suggests people whose interests overlap with yours and whose skills complement yours. You can also post on the plaza saying what you want to build and which roles you are looking for.
Can I enter on my own?
Yes. A team of one is a valid team and can submit a project like any other.
How do I join a team that already exists?
Send its captain a request from the plaza or the participant directory. They decide. You can exchange a few messages before either of you commits.
What happens at the deadline?
Editing closes. A project that was never submitted as final is not judged, so submit before you are finished polishing rather than after.
Do I need an invite code to register?
Depends on whether registration is being restricted. If it is, say here where the code comes from.
Who can see my details?
Other registered participants can see your name, organisation, the tags you chose and your LinkedIn link, which is what makes team formation possible. Your email address is visible only to you and to the organizers.
